Hello everyone,
I recently *tried* to upgrade my machine and I have run into a problem (SPEC BELOW). Whenever I turn on the power, the CPU fans and the GPU fans run but there is no display on screen or any USB connection (mouse/keyboard). Also, after a while my computer shuts itself off.
I've tried to run it with a single stick of RAM in different locations (different sticks in different locations) but it still wont run.
I have everything connected (PSU to GPU, HSK, and 8 pin/ 24 pin connections to Mobo) as well as RAM firmly connected.
I did notice that the Motherboard flashes FF code (which doesn't appear in the manual). I've searched online and found an online manual which states that the FF code means "power on and initialize CPU". Does this mean I connected something wrong regarding the CPU/Mobo/HSK?
Also, I should note that I did not format the hard drive that I was using before. I don't think this would cause a problem with the computer not POSTing, but you guys would probably know more about that.
I'll go test the PSU by swapping it out for a known good one, but I think it has to do more with my Mobo or CPU. Anyways, I want to know your guys opinions or solutions.
Thanks!

Computer Specs:
Motherboard- MSI 890fxa gd70
Cooler- Corsair H80
PSU: XION AXP-850K14XE Quad 12V, 850W
CPU: Phenom II X6 1090t
GPU: AMD HD 7850 (Single)
RAM: Samsung PC3 10600/ DDR 1333/ 3 2GB sticks + 1 4GB stick

Make sure your CPU is seated well, I've had a friend a couple months back have the same issues with his AMD build, only after checking and rechecking everything I found that he didnt even seat the CPU in the socket correctly. When the bracket is pulled back and CPU is inserted I've found that pushing down the CPU only very slightly while closing down the pin gets it to lock in correctly, unfortunately I've only encountered this with AMD.

This will sound silly however have you reset the BIOS to factory defaults?

Okay so I reconnected rthe cpu and hsk back up but its still a no-go. If the psu doesn't work I'm going to call the mobo a DOA. I bought the mobo a while back and only recently installed it. The RAM should be working fine. I've used all stick before and they all worked. How can I test of the cpu is still working? I didn't replace it ( I've used it before).
