I'm looking at building a gaming/video editing build in a month or so, i'm wondering wether i should go with 2 gtx 780tis in sli or 3 780s in sli, they will be overclocked and watercooled, i'll be gaming at 1440p and would like to get 60+fps at max settings on current and next gen games.

More about : gtx 780s gtx 780tis

1 gtx 780ti would be enough for now and next gen games at 1440p

I would go with the GTX780Ti SLI rather than 3 cards since the benefit from the third is minimal.

Go with 2 780Ti's

You get pretty big diminishing returns going beyond 2 cards.

I run 2 780 Ti's and it is awesome.

Not if you run them totally maxed out. 1 780ti isnt enough for BF4 even now at that resolution totally maxed out. Playable sure, but it will dip down into the 30-40 range sometimes.

2 780ti's keeps it above 60 pretty much 99% of the time.

It is pretty lol in games like Bioshock Infinite though, I'm averaging in the 150-200fps range.

Agree on the Vram, BF4 seems to run around 1.8Gb to 2.2 Gb for me in full ultra at 1440p.

If you have enough money for it go ahead. I wouldn't though. Waste of money.
