Hi,

My Toshiba laptop keeps shuttingdown when I try installing W7 on it. I boot on the cd and when the screen where we select the language/currency is about to display, it automatically shutdown. I tried with a usb stick, same thing.
I tried with different ram and hdd.
I have a bsod, c0000021a. This happens at the exact time; when the screen of chosing currency was about to display.

I really don't know what to do and it's making me almost going insane.

The only thing I see is flashing the bios?

I read it might be the order of booting in the bios; I estored to the default value.

This problem happened when I moved and resized partitions. The boot was corrupted then I tried to solve this, but was unable, Tried to format, then i am here now.

Any idea?

Thank you.

Have you looked to see if your model has had similar issues online? Just wondering because I worked on a buddy of mine Toshiba laptop that had tons of issues...turned out his motherboard was dying. And it did.

Not sure what to tell you if your HD was clean when trying to do the install. You may want to get a diagnostic done on it.

The laptop comes with Vista. I upgraded to 7 (no crack, was legit). Everything was working correctly.
I once succeeded installing back Vista, but on the first reboot, the bsod was there. I formated the hdd, even low level formatted it. Then I decided to swap it.

Ubuntu seems to install without any problems.
