I need help in fixing some issues on my Motherboard P9X79 WS. This is my built hardware components.

Mobo: P9X79 WS
CPU: i7 4930K
GPU: Asus GTX 660 Ti
PSU: Corsair AX860
RAM: g-Skill Ripjaw z 32GB
Cooling: Noctua NH-D14
Storage: SSD Samsung EVO 250GB

I encountered issues with my Motherboard.
1. I'd finished connecting all parts of my built and when I switch on. It was Ok, my cpu fans are working as it should be, CPU, GPU and RAM was detected and was normal. However, I saw that the AI tweaker led is not on when i'm on bios, I also checked the BIOS utility - EZ mode and it seems that CPU, MB temp and voltage are normal and checking the CPU Fan it seems that it only has 400+ RPM and is on red status and it state the it has fan error before going to the bios. I'm not sure if the cpu fan is defective. So I just ignored the error. Next

2. I tried to install windows 8.1 and used my ssd as the storage. I successfully intalled it within 20 min. After that, still having issues with the fan error. I checked the AI Tweaker led and is now on red but it's blinking, is this a warning or an error in my mobo? After that.

3. I tried to update my bios through usb bios flashback and that starts the issues with my display, can't see anything from my monitor now. The Q Code state that it is in AA, the ai tweaker led is still blinking in red. I reboot the mobo and after that the Q code is in A2.

I need your help in troubleshooting this problem. This is my first workstation built. Need good advices from the experts on the hardware.

Additional information:
I also enabled the EPU and TPU for performance.

Solution
The fan speed changes with CPU temperature. You can change the fan profile to speed up the fan if you wish. The fan warning has nothing to do with the board POSTing or not...

Hi,

1) disable TPU and EPU for now.

2) The fan speed error is just a warning. You can set the warning threshold to a lower value by entering UEFI and setting Fan speed low limit to a lower value.

3) See if the board will POST after you disable the TPU and EPU switches. If it won't remove all memory modules bar one, and see if the board will POST. If it won't, try updating UEFI again. Make sure you are using a FAT32 formatted USB drive and have renamed the UEFI file accordingly.

Hi Raja,

Thanks for the feedback. I disabled TPU and EPU, I still have the same issues going on. I think this has nothing to do with the fan and also the display. However, when I removed and inserted the GPU from another PCIe slot(PCIe 2.0 x16_4 slot (single at x16 or dual at x8/x8 mode)). Then the display of my screen works perfectly. I think updating my mobo from the latest bios has something to do with this issues, my GPU is not working from the previous PCIe slot(PCIe 2.0 x16_3 slot (x4 mode)) that I had use when I did the usb bios flashback. But before I update the BIOS the display is working perfectly. Display is fixed for now, but what if I want to add another GPU to maximize my PCIe.

The Ai Tweaker led is now working with color blue. However, it seems that the fan is still not working. Fan is still below 250RPM, is this normal? is Noctua NH-D14 a good cpu fan? it state the NH-D14 should reach 900-1200 RPM. I'm not sure if this is a defect fan, but i'll try to return this today for a replacement.
