So if you go Here youll see that with 990FX Extreme4 boards, you can use the XFast 555 Technology : XFast RAM / XFast LAN / XFast USB features. I usually dont download or use added features like this for some reason, and i read someone had a problem with the XFast LAN feature in which it would keep sending data packets even when not using his computer. That sounds pretty shady on ASRock's side, and the OP actually referred to it as an "attack" like his computer was being used for malicious remote use.
So i want to see if any of you guys use it and what you say about it, or just any recommendations or feedback about them from anyone, really. Should i stay clear of them if i have the option to download and use them, or actually go for them?
Thanks!

Well, I don't know much about it, but I'm not aware of any problems I've had with it. It came with the AsRock z77 extreme6 I bought last year and I installed it without any issues.

And when you mentioned the software sending data packets even when not using the computer, what do you mean? If the computer is connected to the internet, it will always be sending small bits of data. I haven't noticed any weird spikes in usage that weren't associated with downloads that I initiated (I set all updates to manual).

Just be aware, if you do get this, you can't update it afaik. I got a notice asking me to update to a newer version, but I'd have to pay. I just left it as is.
