WiFi connected, no internet

Hello please help. My Sony with Win 7 connects to my home wifi but there is no internet connection. But when I connect to free wifi at my apartment everything works fine. My second laptop connects to my home network without any problem. I called Comcast and they are asking 80-90 bucks to fix the problem. Please advise.

First, as you didn't plug it into the router, let us plug it INTO the router (wireless turned off on the laptop) and...

Did you try PLUGGING in your Sony to the 'router/modem' with a ETHERNET cable? Does it work that way? If so but not on the wireless element, then you need to turn off whatever 'security' features are on the wireless router and see if it connects that way? Does it? If you can't do that (because it is all ComCast equipment) then YEP you need to pony it up because the equipment is LOCKED and only THEY have the key to fix it.

No I didn't. Could please tell me how to turn off security features of the router? I think somehow router is blocking access to that particular laptop. I have to find out how to fix that.
