Hey all,

Im looking into buying a computer with XFX R9 290. The case is the NZXT Phantom 530 and the CPU Cooler is NZXT Havik 140 CPU Cooler.

Planning on playing Battlefield 4 and future games when they get release..
Playing on a HD TV via HDMI.

Wanted to know if this combo is good.. I know the R9 290 gets really hot and is intended to..
Also wanted to know if in the future if I will want to run it in Corssfire, will I need to upgrade to a better cooling system?

Thanks all
I want to buy the computer by Thursday so if you can quickly help me out here..

The problem with the 290 and the 290X is the noise they produce and the fact that they run hot. I wouldn't recommend running them in crossfire due to the heat building up and heating the card on top in the case even more ( usually atleast 10 degree higher ), thus they would run even less consistantly than they do now. Once the custom coolers come out then that might be a different matter.

The phantom 530 has good airflow, so it should be able to run one in it fine. Crossfire, well it will run it but as stated above, there will be issues and dips in performance as the heat builds up a little.
