Hey :) I have a 3 Tb Seagate expansion hdd STBV3000300 model. It worked earlier today and i droped it ..... i know it was a dick move on my part. However now when i connect it. It Beeps and doesnt show up in my computer.

WHen i pluggged it in with a Sata cord straigt to the motherboard. It shows up in bios and cmos and stoped beeping but doesnt show up in my computer.

Any Advice, i would really like to atleast recover whats on the hdd and replace it if necessisary but i would like some help please :)

Thank you :D

Solution
It was most likely physically damaged when dropped. The fact that it's still detected by the BIOS means nothing as regards the drive's actual state of health. Recovery software won't be able to do anything if the drive isn't accessible in Windows.
A recovery service specialist may be able to rescue some data from it but the cost is very high.
