Hey guys

I just built my first ever gaming PC ( finally broke free from the console prison ) and everything works fine. I´m still waiting for my graphics card to come from Amazon, and i thought I´d try to play some F2P games to test my FX 8350.

The performance on games like Minecraft and Spin Tires was terrible even on low setting with the lowest res, so I downloaded Speedfan to check core usage. When I launched Minecraft , it only used about two or three percent of each core´s power. Sorry if this sounds really nooby, but I am not sure if this is supposed to be happening.

Thanks.

That means you're relying on the onboard graphics chip that your motherboard was made with.

That FX 8350 does not have an integrated graphics processor (IGP) like the APU's do (A-series), that's why it's so underwhelming in terms of performance. The onboard chips are garbage.

Thanks bro. Someone told me that the 8350 can act like its own graphics card or something. Sounds stupid now.

Integrated graphics are horrible. A dedicated graphics card will show dramatic increase in performance.
