Compatibility of Graphics card with current system config

My current system config is:
Intel Quad core Processor
Intel DG45ID MB
6GB RAM
500 GB HDD
ATI 1GB 4850 Graphics Card

I would like to know whether upgrading my graphics card to ATI Radeon 7870 OC 2GB DDR 5 will have any compatibility issues or will I get good performance?

it will be compatible.
just make sure that your PSU and case can accommodate this new card.

PSU is cool master 600W and shouldn't the case support this card?

the card is 260mm long, measure the case available room for the card length.
the PSU is ok.

It will be compatible, you will have a great boost in your system. A minor bottleneck in CPU though.

I upgraded my card to ATI Radeon R9 270X as 7870 OC was out of stock. I am able to play Crysis 3 now
