Why should i move to a newer platform ? i got my core i5 oced at 4.01 ghz and it gives me more than i expect and more than enough. I barely play. When i play , i play games like crysis,bf4 etc without any problems.

The best one would be Socket 1150
Your chip will be Haswell. The best of Haswell and perhaps of all Intel CPUs is the Core i7-4770k

I'd pick this for the MoBo

Aside from the i7-4770K, the next best would be the i5-4670K

Is that motherboard a good one ? I mean does it support sli or crossfire with full benefit ?

Yes. Maybe I missed some, but as far as I seen, all the Z87 boards support SLI and Crossfire. This particular board has a variety of options plus 6 3.0 USB ports.

If you want better, you're looking at something like the Z87 Sabertooth, which is just a few more Euros out of your budget. But that too is a great board. If possible, try to spend a bit more to get it.
