I bought a Evga gtx 770 sc 2gb about 2 months ago. I am very happy with it being able to get about 70 fps on ultra settings on bf4. although my monitor only supports 1680x1050. (is that 720p?)

I am really tempted by the 780ti. Will my pc get the most out of it? I have i7960 oc @ 3.7ghz 6gb of ddr3 1600mhz.

Also will my power supply be enough? OCZ ZS Series 650W 80+ Bronze PSU with 135mm Fan & single +12V Rail

Unless you're going to get a bigger monitor it will not be worth upgrading bud.

Agreed. No need to upgrade the graphics card when your biggest limitation is your monitor.

As bigcyco said, the resolution you are playing at is too low to have a different gaming experience between the 2 cards. Wait for next year where nvidia will launch their new architecture.

So, question.

Why not spend a couple hundred of the $700 you were willing to spend on a needless GPU upgrade, on a fantastic monitor? You'll gain much more appreciation for the card you have if you do, guranteed.

Anub1s, I'd wait for next year to buy a monitor since g-sync is being released along with some new Asus monitors.

H4X3R, fair point. However, some really killer deals can be had around Black Friday and Cyber Monday time. Something to keep in mind.

Recommended PSU for a 780 ti is 600W.

I just got a refund on a 780 card,
I then brought myself another Enermax Revolution 87+ 650W power supply and a
Black Braided Dual ATX PSU to join them together I now have 1300 watt with a peak power output of 1450,
I plan to buy 2 770s now and sli them.
It will be much faster and have 4 gig of memory.

600 Wont be enough,
You need ampage on the 12v rail and a 600 watt just wont cut it.

You don't need to spend a fortune on a huge power supply, Just upgrade what you have and be prepared to do some moding in the garage,
I had this exact same idea but 650 watt wasn't enough,

You just need to make sure you have more than 12 watt on the 2nd psu or it will turn of.

770 SLI All day long it will destroy the 780 ti by a extra 50%

I don't think anyone answered your resolution question. No, 1680 x 1050 is not 720p. Your resolution is a DVi resolution, as a 720p resolution uses VGA. Simply, quality of 1680 x 1050 is better than 720p. But yeah, upgrade to a 1080p.

If you are looking for a cheap, quality monitor (as suggested by Anub1s)- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0098Y77U0/?tag=pcpapi-20

Thanks for all the info. But am i really going to notice much improvement in picture quality going from 1680 x 1050 to 1080p?

Lets say this i had the 780s in sli which destroys the 780 Ti on paper but due to the micro-stutter/alternate framerate issues ive went with a gtx 780 Ti. Sure you get more fps in sli but its not worth its price admission with sli problems.

Ive never had any micros stutter in all my years in crossfire or sli
it don't exist for me because ive never had this problem
I would put it down to people who haven't a clue what they are doing and suffer the consequences.

Some people has issues some dont and im pretty sure even linus and some others has mentioned the same issues with dealing with a sli setup as well..I just recommend getting the fastest gpu you can afford without having to even taking a gamble on those issues. Ive had the 780s in sli and my rig is way more then enough to run those 2 but the issues it has brought on wasnt worth it

Only way to max bf4 out all ultra 2560x1600 res with 200% res scale you have to crossfire 290s or sli 770s both 4 gig because at that setting you will hit 3850 meg usage.
That's why I passed on the 780 cards because I found they lack enough memory for my needs.
No stutter im happy to say

On paper yes sli/crossfire is the best way to get better frames but from what ive seen in personal experience with the gtx 780s as for me i just cant recommend sli unless you want to avoid the games thats giving you issues. And for 200% scaling at ultra settings and 60fps you will need more then that at 1440p 1600p..LOL way more power then 2 780s i can tell you that.

But as for some people that doesnt have issues thats good and all just for me i took that risk knowing what issues dual gpu setups bring and ill take smooth fps with high settings then to take 2 gpus with issues any day thats just me
