Games for windows market place error

I downloaded fable 3 and fallout 3 off of steam. these games both require windows live. I tried to download Games for windows market place and i always got this error code when running the setup error code: 0x80070005 im not sure what thats all bout and ive tried everything it seems to fix it. I saw a thing where they told me to delete certain Microsoft software i had and i do so. ive re installed me games and both wouldn't work. I copy and pasted a Xlive.dll in each of their folders and fallout actually started up and worked. but when i went to click on live it wouldn't show anything. However I dont mind as much reason being is that fallout is a good single player game anyway. Now when it comes to fable after i copy and pasted and the game started up. it would just be a black screen with the fancy fable 3 mouse clicker. You can basically mouse the mouse around and thats it. its shows im playing these games on my steam account activity.


Please help me Id love to play these games again.

i'm in the same boat but with Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. I can start up the game but I have no option to Save the game or be online; rendering the game worthless.
I too try logging on to GFWL and it always tells me I can't.
At this point in time i said "F" it. I'm not going to go through the troubles of uninstalling crap and potentially doing more harm to my computer just to use GFWL.
From what i've read, this service will be discontinued in July 2014....

I'll have to try this when i get home. It looks like it works for some and not for others.
