Cannot Find Media Player Network Sharing Service On Windows 7

Trying to find the media player network sharing service on windows 7 media player 12, looked in services msc and it's not there, I want to stop this service so I can delete the media player database to get rid of all the old albums and songs that have been deleted from player but they keep showing that they are there when you look, but of course will not now play and I no longer want to.
Tried to delete the media player database folder but keeps saying can not do this while media player network sharing service is still working but cannot find it to stop it, tried most solutions on net but all seen to point to this network service but can not seem to find it to do so any help please tried loads of threads but none seem to work as they all relate to player network sharing which would be great if I could find it, why does Microsoft make it so hard to do things that used to be easy!!!!!
