I finally pulled the trigger; first Intel machine in at least 10+ years, everything ordered from Newegg. I had my mind set on the MSI Z87 G65 Gamer, but ended up with yet another Asus.
The psu wasn't my first choice because it isn't modular, but to get the combo price and rebates had to settle for the deal offered. Water cooling was tempting, but have used the 212 for 4 1/2 years without issues. A 250gb Samsung Pro SSD was in the works, but would have busted the budget, maybe will find one under the tree next month
Total cost: $1296, under budget. Good system? Opinions and comments welcomed, especially on the mobo and video card (no non-reference 290 out yet, settled on 280x). Thanks.
