Well the 3770 is not a k version, so you can't really overclock it since it is not unlocked. But the i7-3770k would be better, but i7 is mainly aimed for professional use. i5-4670k should be plenty for gaming and overclocking.

Also with the money saved, you can get a nice aftermarket cooler.

Since the i7 is not a k series CPU you cannot overclock it but you can overclock with that i5.

Many games do not yet support the extra threads that the i7 has. However some do (Crysis, BF4 etc.)

So they will be identical in most games except the i7 will perform better in some.

The i5 is haswell - newer and about 5% faster than it's ivy bridge counterparts (like that i7 you picked out). Either would eb great for gaming, but you cannot overclock that i7. Also if you're choosing a motherboard make sure it has the same socket compatibility as the CPU.

Im not going for an i7. Its worth the extra money. So , talking about the i5-4670k and that mobo , whats the maximum overclock i can do on that i5 ?

Well , as far as im concerned , the Asus Z87-Plus has the same socket at that i5 , so i guess i can buy them and im ready to go !

This all depends on how good you are, and the cooling you have. And somewhat the CPU you get. You will be voltage, stability and thermally limited. And all these are variable.

Edit: And it's a lga 1150 socket, so a Z87 chipset should be plenty.

My cpu cooler is the coolermaster v6 and case is cm storm stryker with a 200mm top fan , 1 140mm rear fan , 2 120mm bottom fans and 2 120mm side fans.

What is LGA 2011 ? The Z87 chipset is for the LGA 1150 socket and that's what the i5-4670k is , a LGA 1150 Socket CPU and not a LGA 2011 socket CPU.

OP-
The overclock that you will get depends on the CPU that you end up with. Since they cannot make every CPU exactly the same you can end up with a CPU that will not overclock as high as someone with the exact same CPU. The same holds true for the fact that you may end up with a CPU that will overclock very high. You just won't know until you do your overclock what the limits are on the CPU that you have.

sorry, i mixed em up, but 1150 is paired a z87 chipset, 2011 is z79. i5-4670k LGA 1150
And I mentioned that in a breif statement, it's variable :)
