So i got my current computer maybe 7 months ago and I want to upgrade my graphics card so I can have less lag when I am recording games. This is the exact model I bought from tigerdriect.com
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...
If I need to add more about my specs tell me so i can edit this post because I am currently not at my normal computer right now.
Thanks

EDIT: My budget is around 500 dollars

The only thing holding you back in this system is that 400W power supply. In most scenarios, you'll be okay with 400W, but anything towards the high-end will be a bit worrying. What is your graphics card budget? Did you have a particular card in mind?

When you upgrade your GPU, you might need to upgrade your power supply too. So here is my suggestion:

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I don't know your exact budget so I'm just suggesting a simple upgrade.

I also wanted to suggest an aftermarket cooler for you to overclock your CPU. However, the motherboard specs was not included. I will be needing the motherboard info as some motherboards are good for overclocking and some are not.

$500 just for upgrades? I would recommend getting a new power supply as well, like the one james77 recommended, or this one with modular cables for easier cable management:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

As for the card itself, if you're willing to wait a few months, you could pick up an R9 290 with an aftermarket cooler for just over $400. That card is a fantastic value for the money, and will run pretty much everything completely maxed for quite a while. But if you don't want to spend quite as much, take a look at the 7950, which is an amazing value as well, and that's something you can get right now with aftermarket cooling.

I'll post those when I get home today, thanks for the input.

I was thinking before I posted this that I would just get some stuff to tide me over till I get a new computer, but now I see I can upgrade this for a while and still run really well. (and a new computer would be a whole lot for expensive than just upgrading the one I have right now.)

You could definitely carry the parts you get for this upgrade into your next computer, which I would recommend you to build it for yourself. It's a lot of fun, that's why I'm here all the time. Maybe a bit too much fun...

I was going to take the easy way out with buying one online. Now I can see its alot cheaper to build my own, so it looks like I am going to be asking alot more questions in the future. :)

These are the specs of that cpu I was going to buy. (very expensive...)
