I'm just starting off with custom water cooling. I have inserted a few water coolers before, but they were all pre-made (h100i, nzxt kraken x60, etc). Which small (smaller than mid-tower) case would be good for custom water cooling? What are good brands furnishing water cooling system parts and what are good cases (any size) I could get that would support good water cooling? Thanks.

For water cooling, a smaller than mid-tower case to go with (IMO) would be the Bitfenix prodigy. Many mini-itx/micro-atx water cooling builds use it.
For a custom loop, I would go with this, but of course, there will be other options.

XSPC, Bitspower, EK... Most of these manufacturers of water cooling components usually tend to be compatible with other brands, so get what you like. But for certain parts of the loop, like radiators and waterblocks, even rad fans will affect cooling performance. If you plan on getting something, maybe search for reviews online or ask about it. I'm sure many people on this forum will have experience with the item you plan on getting.

Also if you haven't read it yet...
