Windows 7 media player problem

Hi everyone
Can anyone tell me how to find media player network sharing services on w.m.p 12 on windows 7 I have looked in services m. s. c, but is not there, I just need to set it to stop to clear my media player database to remove old folders and song files that I have deleted but will not go from folders. I have tried to delete the folder as suggested by other threads but keeps saying the network sharing is in use but I cannot find how to stop it dos anyone have this same problem or am I the only one with this player network sharing missing ? any help would be appreciated thanks

    This should help: http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-to-disable-windows-7-media-player-network-sharing-service-wmpnetwk/

Recheck your Services Console. The service is called "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service"

Maybe you didn't scroll down the list far enough, you were looking for a service starting with the word "Media" instead of "Windows" ? If Windows says the service is in use, it must be in the list of services I would have thought.
