Hi! I recently bought a used hard drive. It is a Hitachi 2TB, used for a few weekes. I want to zero-fill the drive so it would retire any bad sectors and distroy any data left in it. Perhaps zero-filling would actually speed it up. I'm going to use my 500GB main drive as an external drive after installing this giant. I'm running Windows 8. Is there a way to zero fill the disk without rendering it useless? Thanks in advance!
