I have a HIS 7870 which has at stock, 1000 core clock and 1200 memory clock. Also the stock voltage is 1219. So what I did was I increased the core clock to 1175 and the memory clock to 1400. This was unstable so I increased the voltage to 1264 which worked fine on bf4 for a while but then crashed so I upped the voltage to 1288 which worked good for a few games too but then started to crash! Is my voltage too high, do I have to tone back one of my clock speeds, or does Overvolting actually improve stability?
P.S. I increased the board power by 20%. It was stable on Kombustor and Uningine at 1264 core voltage, but I never tested it on Kombustor or Uningine at 1288 core voltage.
