Hey guys,

so as im sure from the title you can see I'm running Crossfire HD7850s. When they work epic gaming, brilliant fps (from someone who spent 1000hours playing CS:S on a laptop at 40fps lol :p) BF4 Im getting between 80-120fps as infantry(depends on map)

the major prob im having is for ages in gpu-z under sensors "Card 2" would have zero activity when in Crossfire now all of a sudden its working however as you can see from the screencap some of the figures are off (marginally)

I can get the figures to say what they are supposed to say by disabling Graphics Overdrive in CCC but Card two never goes back to its original core clock. Can you help fix that?

also these two cards were working flawlessly yesterday today i got my new display port adapter and have changed my hdmi-div lead from the hdmi port on the gfx card to the display port which i though would have been an ok thing to do? btw thats on card 1

Card 1 is the Sapphire HD 7850 OC Edition (920/1250) and Card 2 is the Sapphire HD 7850 Stock (860/1200) I have used Sapphire Trixx in the past to OC the cards and then also i have changed and used CCC overdrive but not in conjunction with each other

I think i may have accidentally done so however and now all i want to do is get both cards back to square one so i can start again but this time only using AMD Overdrive.

Its running at the minute but after installing the display port adapter i thought i would just run Unigine Heaven to compare results against the HDMI port (just for giggles and to see if there would be a difference) midway through the benchmark everything locks up and i had the gpu-z sensors page open on my other screen just to monitor didnt touch the pc during the benchmark and everything froze solid

tried the typical CTRL+ALT+DEL, couple of clicks waited a few mins = nothing happened pressed the reset button and started up fine its done it twice now and this is why im here id rather get the help than risk potentially damaging the cards.

note: I am aware of the fact that my mobo runs the second card at PCIe x4 this shouldnt be the issue it has worked in the past

Some PC info (let me know if you need more):

AMD FX-8320 3.9Ghz 8-core
AsRock Extreme 3 970 R2.0
8gb ram
240gb ssd
2tb hdd
2x hd7850s
21.5inch monitor 75hz
24inch asus monitor 75hz

PS: AMD Catalyst Driver: 13.11 Beta8, I updated to the new beta9.2 drivers however crossfire refused to work similar issue forced me to roll back to beta8 were everything ran fine ... until now

Thanks for any help and I hope this isnt too much info, but i often see posts where people trying to help have to drag the info out of the OP

Something is wrong with one of those cards. As every 1 know if any of cards is not ok Crossfire or Sli are acting so damn strange. Try testing 1 card by 1, that means put 1 card on motherboard and run a stress test with FurMark till u get to max temparature of 85C if u are doing it without lock up 30 mins that card is ok, then try 2nd one do the same as for 1st one. If one of those fail its the problem if all pass i will try to assist you after. Good Luck and WATCH YOUR TEMPARATURES!

Ok i know it sort of defeats the purpose of asking for help but i fixed it .. I just reflashed with atiflash to dualx bios version .. then reflashed again so that the card 2 was exactly the same as card 1

crossfire reenabled all by itself and its all working just fine except for a slight drop in fps in heaven .. but ill fix that :D

It took me ages to find a guide or find out how to use atiflash .. but now that i have i will make a short guide maybe even a video to help anyone else :D
