Hi! I just bought myself a PC and wanted some good gaming peripherals and could use some advice on what to get. I want a mechanical keyboard, preferably red switches and a gaming mouse. Price doesn't matter, i'll be buying after christmas and don't know how much money I'll have. Write the down and I'll take note! Thanks!

Hi. Not many keyboards have a red theme, considering some of the best keyboards for gaming are by Razer and Logitech. For mechanical, I'd go with the Razer Deathadder or Blackwiddow. They both are mechanical, and look pretty sweet. I've seen both in person, and I gotta say, they are quality. I'd also take a look at logitechs keyboards as well. I've heard very good things about them. As for a mouse, do not buy a Razer mouse. They are cheap, plastic, and crap. Go with a R.A.T. 5, and if you have the budget, a R.A.T. 7.

The Corsair K70 is kinda the go-to for mx reds, i personally plan on buying one for christmas and have tried one out previously, its pretty awesome.

Mouse I will always recommend the Razer Deathadder. It doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles, its just a great mouse.

In my opinion, the death adder the worst mouse on the market. At this point, on ebay, they sell for 25$ brand new. They are junk. They are completely plastic, the grip on the top sucks, and they have tracking issues. Worst of all, the clicking on that mouse feels like an apple magic mouse: There is no click. But Corsair does make a few nice mouses. Look at the reviews on Amazon for the death adder. Don't make the same mistake others did.

It recently got 20,000 votes on Kotaku and won best mouse, and from what I've seen a lot of pros use it as well, so I think most people would tend to disagree with you. But if you don't care for it more power to you.

Also you recommended it in your original post...

Ah, I meant Razer Anansi. I would never recommend the death adder to anyone, it's a jerk move xD. I'd take a look at Corsairs mouses though, they are pretty nice. Razer Black Widow for the keyboard.

Never had a double clicking issue, but whatever.

And the Deathstalker is expensive for a non-mechanical keyboard imo. The Sidewinder X4 is cheaper and a solid keyboard if you don't care about mechanical switches. And you don't need one, its just preference.

Everybody I know who has owned a Razer Deathadder has never heard of a double-clicking glitch/error.

Good idea not to go with a Razer mouse. I have the Razer Deathstalker and I like it a lot. Although, many people go with chicklet caps for quitter typing, which isn't very true with the Deathstalker although I don't mind. It's a pretty nice keyboard, and I absolutely love the software. Although, I have heard mechanical keyboards have a nice touch for gaming. Up to you though, I'd go test em out at BestBuy IRL.
