Hello all, this is my first post. : D
Ok, down to business.

These are my current specs:

CPU: Intel i-5 750 (2.66)

GPU: Nvidia GTX 560

MoBo: Gigabyte p55a ud4p

Memory: 8gb generic crap (my old memory died on me)

PSU: Silent Pro Gold 1000w

HD: 1T not solid state, standard not really a gaming thing.

SO, my problem right now is, i cant run BF4 without lag on any specs, not even on low.

I am thinking about upgrading, so i made this little list of the things i think i shud get.

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800)

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX770 SuperClocked with EVGA ACX Cooler, 2GB GDDR5 256bit

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K Quad-Core Processor 3.4 GHz 4 Core LGA 1155

MoBo: Gigabyte Intel H77 LGA 1155

What do you guys think about these choices?

And one last thing, is it worth it for me to OC or will i still get the same problem with BF4?

Thanks for helping

Your setup as it sits should be "okay" for BF4 Makes me wonder what's goign on. What resolution are you playing on? that seems to make more of a difference than the details. That is still a pretty solid rig. If it won't run BF4 then the developers aimed way too high...

First thing I'd update however would be the video card if you're so inclined, followed by the processor/motherboard... by the way might as well build a haswell rig if your'e going to update the price difference is tiny now (wasn't a month ago). And get the memory whenever you get the money it's probably the least important factor in a gaming rig, but it will help some if you have a few extra bucks laying around.

to answer your initial question, if you have an aftermarket cooler and can OC the processor/GPU by all means give it a shot, just make sure you watch your temps.

By cooling i meant an after market CPU cooler. If you don't have one then don't attempt to overclock your CPU. If you do, or want to purchase one (you could use it in a future build as most will work for multiple sockets, just find one with adapters for your current chipset, and likely LGA 1150 for a haswell future build)

decent OC guide for a 750, but once again don't try this unless you have a better cooler on your CPU than what came with it.

I have this cooler:

http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Hyper-212-RR-212E-20PK-R2/dp/B005O65JXI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384296645&sr=8-1&keywords=cpu+cooler

the 212 plus model

would that work for the OCd CPU?

and how about OCing the GPU?
