Hello guys i have a serious problem with my PC,the thing is i have a gigabyte 78LMT motherboard equiped with Amd fx 6300 and geforce gtx 650 ti and 8gb ddr3 ram 667mhz.
The problem is sometimes my system shows all 8gb ram but mostly it shows 6gb installed and 4gb usable im using windows 7 64bit....whereas CPUZ always detects 8gb ram....i have checked a various number of times whether my ram is properly seated in the slot and yes they are!
Please let me know why does this happens?

Solution
It happens to everyone using a GPU with on-board memory, yes. Even mainboard video will map between 8MB & 16MB of your system memory for MMIO. With your 8GB of system memory, you can expect a little over half of it to be available with your video card and Windows 7 64-bit.

8GB Total

2GB RAM used by Video Card MMIO
+ 1.2GB to 1.7GB RAM used by Windows 7

= About 4.8 to 4.3GB RAM useable or free at any given moment.
