Hi, just got a new build and psu is a corsair modular cx750m and my graphic card is a 780. my 780 needs a 6 and 8 pin to power it. the psu comes with a modular cable that is 8 pin (at the psu end) and splits in to 2x 6&2 pins. is this 1 cable ok to power the card? there is another cable that is the same in the box, both labelled pcie although not sure where that would go. i have powered up the computer using just the 1 cable and seems fine but dont want any future issues.
thanks

Yes, for the 6 pin connection, you use the 6+2pin cord, and just leaved the extra 2 hanging.

Just to confirm, you do have both the 8 pin and 6 pin connected to your graphics card from the power supply? You need both.

You will have extra pci-e cords, they supply you enough for sli/crossfire.

Hi, yes i have both connected on the graphic card. Just wasn't sure that both the 8 and the 6 should come from the 1 modular cable into the psu. The cable is a 6&2 and from the back of it is another 6&2. So i just have the spare 2 hanging next to the psu
