Hello Respectful community,
I have a silly question here. I hope you answer if you have the chance.
If I had BIOS 1503 on an ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 (the MB shipped with that BIOS version) and by mistake tried to put the BIOS 1006 on the board using the Flashback utility.
The BIOS downgrade (I thought I was going to upgrade the BIOS) did not succeed, will the version 1503 will remain functional?
During the process the Flashback LED blinked for 5 seconds then it turned green solid.
If you have any idea, please let me know, I would appreciate any reply.
I am going to build a PC tomorrow (my first build) and I would like to have an idea of what could be the problem if I see no POST.
Why did I try putting that BIOS version on the board? Well, I wanted to have the latest BIOS version at the moment of the build to avoid incompatibilities with the CPU (AMD FX 8320) however I was doing a downgrade. My bad…
Yes, you are right! I am a newbie.
Thanks in advance!
Best Regards,
