I'm building my first rig soon and was wondering if I should just go with Haswell instead of Ivy bridge. I was looking at the 3570K but I want to do an matx build and Z77 motherboards seem to be the hard part to get in the uk (especially the M-ATX).

I've looked at the Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3 and Asus Maximus V Gene boards for Z77 and for Z87 I've looked at the Asus Gryphon (without the thermal armour pack cause it just seems a bit of a muchness).

I've read arguments for and against Haswell which is throwing a spanner in the works as there doesn't seem to be a definite answer.

Would I be better just going for Haswell? I know there are a lot more board options as it's new (the Gryphon being a great one) which helps with one issue. Any input would be really appreciated.

Then I just have to decide between the MSI 760 TF OC Gaming Ed. Or the 760 Hawk....

I also once plan to get 3rd gen parts but it was difficult finding mobo for it as well. So I just moved to 4th gen. Easier to obtain and a lot more variety. Just move over OP, no harm. COME TO THE 1150 SIDE.

Looks like this was a bigger factor in choosing Haswell than the performance/ heating figures.
