I have two video cards. there not the same but they are the same manufacture. The first one has a splitter in it to VGA. it is in my PCI-e x16 slot. i added a second video card into my PCI slot because i only have 1 PCI-e slot and when i restarted my PC the second video card acts like the only Video card attached. Why is it not seeing both?

More about : video card takes video card card anymore

What are your PC specs? You shouldn't be using a PCI slot if your GPU requires a PCI-E slot. And again, if your motherboard only has one PCI-E slot, you should be using that instead of... the "second" one. PCs aren't like legos, you can't put things anywhere you want and expect them to work, everything has a rhyme and a reason.

Yep, your motherboard has to support SLI/CF also.
