Yep, haha. Have been a few changes. Any heavy mods these days usually require optifine too.

Anyway Ace4722, did we answer your question? (It was that your PC build should be okay w/ shaders etc.)
it SHOULD handle it without any problems, you should average around 80fps or so

however minecraft is a bit of a mixed bag, it's not always up to your computer build, and it'll sometimes overload the system memory for some odd reason. a lot will depend on the exact mod you're running, and whether or not it's well optimized to correctly use system resources.

No one can be entirely sure on any specific numbers, but I would say that could run MC w/ shaders fairly well. You might even be able to add a higher res texture pack, but that may be pushing it. (I'd say a 128x texture pack at the highest with the shaders, but I could be wrong.)

I've gone to higher res texture packs on my own setup (see sig), it's different, but the major thing is you need to modify the bat file so that you allocate more memory to the game, and I only managed to run 256x textures at 8.6GB memory usage (insane and stupid I know)

Really? I've watch MC use my RAM and it quickly ramped up to 5.7GB running MC (256 textures w/ ethereal shaders) from 2.3GB not running. Didn't have to change any app settings for this, and still don't now. But yes, the RAM usage is crazy. One of my friends has about 35 odd industrial mods with all the shaders and textures and he gets out of mem all the time. (Not from MC, but from windows apparently. His RAM is identical to mine, apart from the OC.)
