I have an HP Z600 workstation with a Serial ATA card which I use to connect an external hard drive. I recently bought a new workstation Z620 and I transferred the SATA card to the new workstation but the problem is the computer is not recognizing the card.It does not come up in device manager. The same card works well on Z600. I tried it on another PCIe slot and I even tried it on another new Z620 to no avail. Is there a compatibility issue? All the slots in BIOS are enabled....

The SATA card may need a third-party driver from the card manufacturer's website. That driver may already be installed on your old Z600, but not on the Z620.
