Looking for RAM.

Hi there,

So I'm building my first rig and since it is my first I'm not looking to overclock, more looking to just build a solid stable rig. As a result of this, I thought I'd use memory with a clock speed of 1600Mhz (as that's what Intel and the majority of mobo manufactures say is the limit without OC'ing) with a low latency to compensate for the slower clock speed.

So I'm looking for some RAM with preferably the following characteristics:
- Compatible with the Z87 chipset.
- Low latency, CAS 9 preferably.
- 1600Mhz clock speed.
- 8GB (2x4GB) compatible with duel channel setup.
- Designed to work with Intel's 4th Generation processors.

I'm a bit stumped as I can't find many which have compatibility with the Z87 chipset directly mentioned on there specifications. Any insight or recommendations would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Char

Most all DRAM that is out was out prior to the release of Haswell, so basically none are designed/aimed towards Haswell - the GSkill Tridents are prob the closest thing to design/aimed towards, also with Haswell scaling to DRAM as well as it does would suggest looking to 1866 as entry level DRAM - with no mobo specified, best sticks I've found for working with Haswell ar the GSkill Tridents, then their Snipers, then the RipJaws X - good article an memory scaling here:
