Heya, everyone I'm for the best gaming rig that I can get within a $500-$700 price range.
My hope is to be able to run labor-intensive games such as Skyrim, Crysis 3, BF4, etc at Ultra settings while still maintaining a consistent 60 fps. Although I realize that may be a bit out of the question for the budget I'm allotting to this, that is my ultimate goal.
I also produce a lot of multimedia, videos, music, 3d models and animation, etc. I'm hoping that such a rig would be more than ideal when it comes to multimedia development as well.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

i5 3570k or whatever the haswell equivelent is. DDR3 1600Mhz RAM at least 8gb. 1tb HDD or 120gbSSD. I would go SSD nice quick boot times. 650ti boost or GTX 660 will be good for a budget gaming build. at least a 500w power supply I always never go for less than 750w just so I have some head room so I can SLI if I choose to.

logainofhades build above me is about as good as you'll get for the money! It won't bring you into great places with BF4 though with that video card, but you won't find better for the money right now I don't think. It get's my vote! If you bring your limit up another $100 though, you could get a small ssd for caching and a hd7870/r9 270x video card. Those alone would make you believe your system was twice what it was. FYI, that's a really good price for that memory right now, I would jump on it! And go with 1600mhz only on AMD AM3+ CPU's or you're wasting money.
