Hey hey hey,

I recently purchased a R9 280x matrix Platinum from Asus which I rather liked for the week it operated and then it totally conker-ed out. Ofcourse not until after i leave a 5egg review does it start crashing as other users posted, anyways i would absolutely appreciate any advice you guys can give me. what GPU do you guys think would be feasible for 1080p. I run another monitor just for the sake of well.. Monitoring" temps and what not but I would be running max settings. I dont mind jaggies that much so I can go easy with AA but i love to mod and so i tend to push the vram a bit.

Although ive had a dreadful time with Asus customer service I can have a replacement at no cost - 2 weeks wait

Or I can return to newegg for $385 and invest in another card. -2 weeks wait

the absolute most I can see myself spending is $600

my idea was to keep my platinum after getting a Replacement and buy another Rog when and IF i need the horses. But my main concerns with this plan is

A- Will a 750w G rated Evga supernova handle two of these behemoths?

B- For $200 dollars less after tax and everything I could just run a 7990 for 550+, get 8 games, and be confident in my powersupply.
Pretty sure 7990 being on a single pcb cuts back on alot of the issues with crossfire if anyone can clarify on that.

Sidenotes*

I can remove my cpu overclock for good measure.

I have a crap load of led fans on my case 11 one of which is like a 200mm big boy.

Everything runs real cold if i take the side of my case off temps go up no less that 10c so Its pretty frosty which should help that deepfryer of a 7990

looks like both Asus and newegg are out of stock of the platinums so rather waiting 2 months for an exchange or repair its just going back. I think im gonna go with the 7990 as $550 bucks sounds like a sweet deal for all the power. any opinions at all ?
