How is this build?

The above assortment of computer components are pieces I have selected on my own (from looking at other people's builds) or with the help of friends (hard drives and memory modules...).

I've browsed around the forums here on Tom's Hardware, and there seem to be many knowledgeable and helpful people. I would appreciate any and all advice.

I mainly want to know if the components I have selected will work fine/well with each other. However, I am also not against suggestions for swapping out pieces (so long as the alternative does not drive up the cost of the build...). I will say that I definitely want two 2 TB hard drives for mirroring, and I would like to have 16 GB of RAM (8 would be fine if the savings could be better used elsewhere...). I'm already a little over what I was hoping to spend ($800~900), but if this build will work well, I'd be happy to spend the money on it.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
if it's for gaming,8gb of RAM would be fine.I'd rather you invest the money from that into the GPU.Get the 7950 or GTX 760 if your budget allows for it.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I think I'm just about ready to confidently begin the ordering process. I'll go ahead and buy half the RAM so more $ can be spent on a GPU. This leads me to what I hope will be my final question:

MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 760...:

PowerColor PCS+ AX7950 3GBD5-2DHPP Radeon HD 7950...:

Between these two cards, which would likely be ideal for this build/prove to have the most use "down the road" (I probably won't overclock)? Benchmark results from different sites for the Radeon HD 7950 and the GTX 760 seem to indicate somewhat similar performance, and both are around the same price.
