Specs:
I7-3770k
4GB was 8 Kingston Hyper X Genesis
HD 7850
Foxconn H67-M

I just upgraded my cpu from an i3-3220 to an i7-3770k and after putting everything back together and hitting the power button all I got was long beeps separated by a second of each other. Looked it up and found it was a memory issue so tried booting with one stick of ram and it worked fine. Fiddled about with different combinations of memory slots and the other module and determined one seems to have stopped working. I can't see what could of damaged the other module as I never removed either of them when changing the CPU and made sure no MOBO pins were bent as well. Any advice on this would be appreciated before I spend out more on another module.

Thanks for the reply. Never changed a CPU before now, this was my first build and got the MOBO/CPU/RAM in a combo. Was planning on buying
a new MOBO anyway since can't overclock on H67. I forgot to mention it's a Micro ATX MOBO, was thinking about this one - http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Z77MA-G45-Motherboard-Micro-ATX-Gigabite/dp/B007KZQF4S/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1384332599&sr=8-2&keywords=micro+atx+z77. Didn't know about resetting/updating BIOS before, I'll try that and also removing MOBO battery.

Cheers bud , not looking like it's gonna work though. Reset BIOS and removed the CMOS battery for five minutes but still got the beeping when I stuck the other module in. Even swapped the slots around again but no joy. My case is the Cooler Master Elite 344 and the PSU is this one - http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/powersupplies/nov-psg500.html#reviews. Like the look of that MOBO you linked to, in my price range too. Was thinking of getting this CPU cooler - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Hyper-212-120mm/dp/B0068OI7T8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384337075&sr=8-1&keywords=cpu+cooler.

If you look better ones. Then here is couple new coolers.

Only thing Id get with those is better fan. (more silent and better air flow)

Thermalright macho rev a bw is good cooler too.

Like the look of the Thermalright one, bit over what I was gonna pay but it looks like it gets good reviews. Well cheers for the help bud, looks like I'll just need to get another RAM module soon, think I'll get the MOBO first though :)

New memory kit then. Try G.skill. They are really much better reliability than Kingston. Look if your memory still have warranty :)

Looks like u have good build coming up :) Good luck! :)
