Hi,

I am in the market for a video card, and I've decided on an HD 7790, one of the 2gb ones (not sure if its still called the HD7790 or R7790, apologies). My pc currently has a 300w psu. What upgrade to the psu do I need, in order to safely run the video card? Could I get by with a Corsair CX430, or would I need to move up to a CX500? And also, which brand? Here are the links for the chosen 7790 cards:

And here is a link to my pc, if it is needed:

Thanks in advance. :)

The CX430 is more than enough for HD 7850 as well as overclocking.

The only reason you may want more power is for future GPU upgrades which may use a lot of power.

If the CX600 is only $10 more expensive, I would definitely go for it.

Thank you for your replies, yet again. :)

The HD 7850 that you mentioned jjs0891, is cheaper and seems like it would be far better than the one I had picked out before, so I believe I'll pring for that one for sure. Now the only thing is, will the CX430 be enough for the 7850? On amazon, the CX500 is 10 bucks higher than the 430, but the CX600 is around 30 cents cheaper than the CX500.. Should I just go for the 600 or would it just be too inefficient?

I don't plan on any upgrades for a long time, but seeing as the 600 is only $10 more, I think its a great deal, and preps for future upgrades and definitely worth it. Thanks again to everyone that replied, you all are life-savers!
