I want to upgrade my graphics card for the new games that came out Battlefield 4 & CoD Ghosts. I don't know too much about Sli or what the benefits are. So my question is 2x 2gb Evga cards better then one 4gb Evga card.
I'm planning on spending between $300 to $450 in my budget for a graphics update. And I don't want upgrade my card for a very long time after this so it's gotta count for these games & the ones to come.
I want to play BF4 & CoD Ghosts using 1900 by 1080 HD everything on Ultra is what I want or what ever the highest HD resolution I can get.
If you guys could maybe explain as simple as possible thanks.
My tech level is above average except in the graphics card area.

My system:
i5 3570k 3.40 quad core
8gb ddr3 Mushkin ram
1gb 256bit ATI Radeon HD 5850
750 Watt Thermaltake PSU
Windows 8
Thank You

if you want to play future games on ultra then aim for cards with over 2gb. Also, 2gb +2gb in sli still only gives you 2gb usable memory, memory is not shared between cards.

Splendid
Get the best single card for that money so you don't limit yourself now with two lower end cards.
At that price a GTX 770 2GB is more than enough to play those games at your resolution at Ultra settings.
You will be able to SLI the 770 later and get a huge bump in performance when you choose SLI in the future , but for now a single 770 will play anything you throw at it..
Grabbing two lower end cards to SLI at that price just ain't worth it as you will be stuck with them, adding a third card later isn't worth it.
