Generally speaking, ASUS is the best. The best BIOS and quality parts. Their "ROG" or republic of gamers series are specially designed for overclocking. This series starts with the Hero motherboard, which I recommend.

I know you're trying to lower the costs , but everything on my list is good. Maybe you could buy 1 stick of 4GB first , then when you have enough to buy another , you would have the full 2x4 GB of RAM
