So I just got an 840 EVO on my Samsung NP535U4C

Now I have two options, keep the win8 that I had, or use the win8 pro key I have unused yet that I got somewhere.

I wanted to keep the win8 I had so I downloaded a 64-bit non-pro system builder ISO and when I boot up and all, it asks me to enter the product key, but I thought it was supposed to grab it from the BIOS automatically since it has no sticker under it anymore.

My second option was to get the win8 pro, so i got the downloader, created media so I put the win8 pro on a dvd and booted off that. That gives me an error that the product key doesnt match, before even asking me to input one..

So now I don't know how to retrieve the key from my initial drive, or how to do a clean install of the win 8 pro... the win 8 pro is not just an upgrade either..

thanks

The only way I know to do this is to go round to a friend who has Windows 8 installed. There is an option within Windows 8 to download a Windows 8 .iso file that you can then use to make a bootable USB stick or DVD-r
