  1. R9 270 by a decent margin. Depends a bit on the games you play as well.

Mostly I play games as Grand Theft Auto, Call Of Duty, Battlefield and Simulator Games
  3. Then AMD R9 270 it is.

If you play Assassins creed or Batman games MORE(game with PhysX), then Nvidia is prefered.

But the 270 is still considerably faster in most titles.
  4. Sure the R9 270 is faster and also has a reasonable price.

There is another possibility. The R9-270 is simply a re-branded HD 7850. The R9-270 starts at $190 on newegg for the HIS IceQ Boost edition. I would get that one over the Club 3D version any day if I were buying an R9-270. However, the Powercolor HD 7850 2GB costs only $165 and has a $30 mail-in-rebate which drops the price to $140 (if you take the taxes into account) AND you get to choose two free games from AMD. Those games are the reason I chose HD 7970s over R9-280Xs. The value there is fantastic because the games are all high-end like Hitman: Absolution, Sleeping Dogs and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
