Hello i started another thread yesterday with no luck so im hoping that this thread will be able to help me further.

i recently installed a cpu cooler (coolermaster 212 evo+) and after i'd done that i can start the computer, i mean Theres fans spinning and all that but no Picture.
i can start the computer with the power button on the front but when i try to hold it Down to turn the computer off nothing happens. i have tried to readjust the cables that comes from the front panel but still with no luck.
furthermore i have tried to reseat the ram and i cant see anything else that should be able to go wrong in the case.

my motherboard is a gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3.

Remove your cooler and chek if there wasn't anything in between the cooler and cpu other than thermal compound, make sure that the cooler is conected correctly(try the old cooler), if screen remains black and no other signs of life, i would say you succeeded in burning your cpu (should not be possible nowdays)

well you probably already tried the old cooler, try removing your gpu and pluging in the igpu see if that changes anything, reset cmos

its either your mobo or cpu atleast looks that way, did you try to reset cmos, you can also try removing the battery on the mobo maybe replace it, lastly if you got another cpu for that socket try that

if the old cpu worked than you found your problem new ones dead, if not then yes it could be the battery it costs something like 20-70 cents, no idea but dirt cheap its a battery after all
