Hello Everyone

I just upgraded from windows 7 32Bit to Windows 7 64Bit. Here's my question I got 4GB DDR3 of ram and only 3.64GB was usable in 32Bit then a friend of mine told me to upgrade to 64Bit and so I upgraded now I got 4GB. I installed all the similar programmes I had in 32Bit(I think) But back then I had 2.3GB free and now only 2.0 GB free. If I could know the reason I would be very happy.

Thank you

If you upgraded to Windows 7 ultimate then the OS should be using more RAM yes. Ultimate has more features etc. Which version of Windows 7 32bit did you have?

Well you can read this thread http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/54850-63-windows-quic...

it would seem that windows 64 does use a bit more memory.
