problem with compressed files

Hi my laptop on startup is saying HLRNG is compressed press ctrl+alt+del to restart ,when I do this it goes back to saying HLRNG is compressed ,any advice as I don't have any startup discs

Download a Windows 7 disk image identical to your version from HERE, burn it to a DVD, then boot from it and run a startup repair.

I've put a disk in now I have a message initializing intel(R) boot agent GE v1.2.44beta-1 pxe2.1 build 086 (wfm2.1) and at the bottom of the screen f10 =rom based setup f12=network service boot ,but those controls don't seem to be functioning

That's a tough one, but it could be the PSU or motherboard. It does not sound like just an OS problem to me.

I think I compressed my c drive would changing the boot up order change anything

If you cannot boot from an install disk, then changing the boot order won't help as it will boot without the HDD.
