GPU for my system

i want THE BEST POSSIBLE GPU that my system can handle. I dont know much about the power supplies and therefore need a lot of help. I am posting a few details though, that i know.

Motherboard : Gigabyte G31M-ES2C
RAM : 2 GB
Processor : core 2 duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz
screen resolution : 1600 X 1900

You can put any GPU you like, as long as it fits inside your case. But there's no use in it since it will be bottlenecked by the CPU, unless you buy an entry level GPU.

Also It'd be better if you put plus 2GB of ram, and ofc you'll need new PSU.

it means that i dont need a new mobo, the one i am using is good.??
and i didn't understand what you tried to say by entry level GPU and why do i need a PSU..

If you are upgrading only the GPU, you don't need a new mobo. PCIe slots are compatible so you won't have a problem putting new GPU on your mobo.

Entry level is a cheap GPU which can support most of the games today, and it's best for you because you won't notice much difference if you put more powerful GPU. Your CPU will bottleneck them.

Since you haven't posted your current GPU, I assume you are using the integrated one which doesn't require much PSU. If that's the case, than you'll need to buy a new one. Either way, try to find out what kind of PSU do you have and post it.
