Well I finally got my second 7970, it is a sapphire dualx oc witht he dual bios'.(used) great shape though.

My main concern is I believe it may be cutting out due to my second crappy dedicated psu I am using. its a coolmax zx 700 80+ certified. It was whining a while back a hair under load which is why I swapped it for my current psu. I figured it would be under much less stress as it is powering just my card.

either way the way it is hooked up is via the green and gray wires which ti will only come on when hooked to the mobo and it works fine that way.

But when it was all up an running it was doing the same wort of thing even though it detected both my cards. I reloaded my drivers and it was working in the heaven benchmark with both cards running 1000mhz 6000mhz memory1.256 and both running 90+gpu usage no problem.

I play one game of bf4 and I heard my other psu have the notorious whine coming from it and the game crashed. I rebooted and it shows up but when I go to run occt on just that card with xfire disabled it says d3d error. I'm not sure if its just my drivers may need to be completely removed and reinstalled or if its most likely that psu not actually doing anything and the mobo just picking it up saying its there.

Either way I ordered an ocz zt 550w bronze that is fully modular for a steal since my new case will be holding two psus.

What do you guys think? I hope I didn't kill the card but I didn't have time last night to drop the vapor x out and just run it on my seasonic to make sure its ok.
