My GPU requires 8 pin and 6 pin power, but the pci-e power cables my PSU came with have two 6+2 pin connectors on one cord. I am in the process of re-sleeving my cables and tidying things up.
My question is can I simply remove the (2) pins from the 6+2 to make it just a 6 pin cable? I would assume I can since its basically doing nothing when its not even plugged in.
