Hello and thank you for your response in advance,

Let's cut straight to the point.

- I turned on my computer and everything seems to be running find until it comes time to log onto windows 8. The screen hangs and the loading image keeps rotating. Okay, so I restart several times in hopes that it's just a temporary bug. Nope, keeps on happening.

- I try to use system restore point. I use all the points available to get the same error over and over "0x80007..." i forget the rest but basically did the research and found out that my Windows 8 was missing or had corrupted files.

- Next I try to use the "Refresh System" tool that comes with Windows 8. Once again I receive an error stating something about missing files.

- I've come to the conclusion that I must simply reformat my computer however I do not have the Windows 8 CD/Media that is on my Hard Drive.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry I'm not giving the exact error codes for you guys, its because I don't have access to my laptop right now, I'm not at home... I'm on lunch at work...

Lets see what you guys can muster up for me.

Thank you all in advance!!!

if f8 safe mode does not work...damaged anti virus or a virus. if you need any data off the drive make a hirem boot usb stick boot from it run virus scan and then pull your data off the hard drive and onto the usb stick. the windows 8 restore info is in a hidden partion on the hard drive modt times you hit a funtion key at power on to start the vendor restore.(it wipe all data off your laptop)

FYI, I used F12 to access my safe mode options and still I was not able to get into my desktop.
So if I understand correctly. I should boot from a hirem CD or USB. To recover the information on my hidden partition?
The information I have on my Thaw Space Drive is completely irrelevant, I don't need any of the information I have stored on it. I simply want to reformat.

Will I be able to recover my product key for windows 8 from this hidden drive/partition?

I forgot to mention that I found recovery CD's last night before I went to bed and failed to try those out first due to a sleepless mind taking over.

I will :

1- Try the recovery CDs (if this fails)
2- Hirem Boot + Scan + Retract my Windows 8 partition
3- Reformat

Do you agree with these steps?

Thank you for your original reply smorizio!
Greatly appreciated.
