CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB Memory problems

I recently built a computer containing a FX-8120 eight core CPU, liquid cooled, a Sabertooth 990FX motherboard and CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CML16GX3M4A1600C9B and also installed two Nvidia GeForce GTX560Ti video cards.
I am running Windows 7 pro on it and it seemed to work ok, but I started having problems with some programs becoming corrupted.
I ran Memtest86+ and I am showing many errors in Test #8. I tried to slow down the memory by designating it as DDR3-800, thinking that this would help. It hasn't.
Any suggestions. This memory is supposed to be compatible with this motherboard. Could it be a timing problem or some setting?

Solution
Try raising the CPU/NB voltage by .1V from whatever it is now, setting it back to 1600 mhz, and try raising dram voltage to 1.55v See if this fixes things. 4 sticks it hard on AMD cpus even at 1600 so it often requires voltage tweaks.

If that doesn't work you might have to set it to 1333mhz, to get it fully stable. As always update your bios as it could be fixed on their end as well.

Each of the 4 sticks fails only the Stride Isolation test. Everything else checks out ok. It must be a setting or compatibility problem. Is anyone using this same motherboard and can you tell me what memory works for you. This is the second set of memory that I have tried to use with the same result.

+1 Good approach, the FX CPUs have a 'weaker' MC (memory controller) and are actually rated up to 1 stick per channel at 1866 (and that being 4 GB sticks), if stable at 1600 with Supahos's recommendations, then can try moving to 1866, will prob take a CPU/NB of 1.2 or better

Gentlemen,
This seems to have worked. It took me a while to find my way through the Bios to where I was able to adjust voltages. Everything was set to Auto, so I set them manually. I ran the memory test for Stride Isolation and all sticks passed. Now I am running a full computer diagnostic.
Thanks for your help.
