Hi community,
I am building my first gaming PC over the holidays and I was wondering what motherboard I should get, at first i wanted to get the AsRock Z77 Extreme6 - but i had to cut down my prices so i have a MAXIMUM budget of £70. I will not be overclocking, but I want it to have all the good features a gaming motherboard has.
Thanks in Advance

My system build:
Intel Core i5 3330
Hyper 212 EVO
Cooler Master STACKER 832 Case
XFX DD Radeon 7970
8gb RAM 1600MHz - Crucial Ballistix

Solution
Have a look at the ASRock H77 Pro4. Pretty feature rich and crossfire compatible if you want that option. £60-65
The Asus P8H77-V is a bit dearer, similar features but a couple less SATA ports and a few more niche features.

Is this good for hardcore gaming? (BF4 and COD Ghosts on Ultra)

Motherboard itself has near to zero input on gaming. If you want budget, pick up a cheap B75 motherboard, still runs just as fast. H77 is a good compromise between the two, and gives you lots of connectors, and are generally a lot less stripped down. Which features do you actually want/need? Most of the "gaming" features sold on motherboards are marketing hype.

Hey Andy!
I would suggest an Asrock H77M. It's a nice, sturdy and cheap motherboard. It provides two slots for ram up to DDR31600 and it comes with 4 SATA 3gb/s and 2 SATA 6gb/s. Also it has 2 PCI slots with 1 PCI 2.0 and 1 PCI 3.0. Just like any other mother board it can provide the peformance you need. Don't worry on fancy games and features, motherboards generally don't change much. This board will be able to do whatever you want and won't be a future bottleneck. Overall its a nice and good quality board. Hopefully this fulfills your needs and good luck on your build.

Here is a link to the board.

This does look good . . . but i don't need a Micro ATX one. I think I am going to go with Rammy's suggestion. Thanks for the reply though!

To be completely honest, I just want it to not overheat while gaming and have lots of connectors for my 2 HDD's and my 1 SSD, as well as all my components. But i am pretty sure the AsRock Pro4 has all of that covered. So thanks, I think i am going to go with that.

It is a micro atx. o_O

Also this board won't overheat as long as you have a decent fan, it has great heat desperation

Rammy, could you please look at my other thread i have made to see if you could answer my other question please? I have been thinking about getting a i5-4440 HASWELL because it is faster than the i5 3330 i was going to get. And i have made another thread about what good Sub £70 MOBO's for haswell there are(Socket 1150).
